Hey y’all! I’m Javier Villarreal, most people call me Javi! I grew up in the inner city in Austin, Texas and went to Texas State University (Eat ‘Em Up Cats!). I didn’t know who the Lord was until I was about 16 years old when my Young Life leader starting pouring into me and started reading the Gospel of John with me. I gave my life to the Lord when I was 17 and since then and have been running towards him and want to make Him known to others. The past 4 years I have served on Young Life staff in Hutto, Texas and Lockhart, Texas. I recently felt a calling in my life to go serve the Lord somewhere else and that’s when I found the Dale House and since visiting and meeting the residents we serve, I heard the Lord telling me that this is where He wants me. I am beyond excited to be in Colorado and with our residents! In my free time I like to do just about anything active, go to concerts, and read in a hammock.
