Anna Nicol, LCSW

Mental Health Therapist

Anna Nicol is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of diverse experience in social work and clinical mental health. She earned her MSW from Colorado State University and BA in Social Work from Bethel University. She began her career in experiential wilderness programs and youth crisis work in Minnesota before transitioning to Colorado to join the Dale House Project training staff in 2007.

Anna's career spans roles in county social services, job training programs, and substance use recovery, as well as international program development in Ecuador. Since 2017, she has practiced as a psychotherapist specializing in integrative, trauma-informed care, offering individual and group therapy for teens and adults with a focus on trauma, anxiety and depression, eating disorders, women’s issues, and strengthening the mind-body link. Trained in modalities including EMDR, brainspotting and DBT, she also provides clinical supervision and coaching to emerging counselors. Since January 2024, she has served as a Social Work Lecturer in the BSW program at UCCS. Anna rejoined the Dale House Project in December 2025.

When not in the office, Anna can be found trail running, dabbling in the world of ultra-trail racing and finding enjoyment in activities such as yoga, traveling with her partner, reading and baking sourdough bread.
